For many families in our community, the Yellow Group at Everlearn Preschool Clovelly holds a special place in their hearts. And for the past 10 years, that experience has been shaped in no small part by one remarkable educator, Miss Emily.
If your child has come through our doors over the past decade, there’s a good chance you’ve seen her influence firsthand.
Great educators teach. Exceptional educators see.
From the moment a child arrives at Everlearn, Emily has an instinctive ability to recognise what makes them unique. Whether it’s a quiet confidence, a curious mind, or a need for reassurance, she meets each child where they are and helps them grow from there.
This isn’t accidental. It reflects a deep understanding of early childhood development and a genuine respect for children as individuals. The result is an environment where children feel known, valued, and capable.
Over time, that has a compounding effect. Confidence builds. Curiosity deepens. Relationships strengthen. These are the foundations that children carry with them well beyond their preschool years.

It would be easy to measure Emily’s contribution purely in terms of her work in the classroom, but that would miss a large part of the picture.
She has also been central to the culture of Everlearn itself.
Emily has consistently gone beyond her role to help shape a community that values connection, generosity, and shared responsibility. This is most visible in the charity work she has led and supported over the years.
In particular, her commitment to supporting families at Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney has been extraordinary.
Through a wide range of initiatives, Emily has played a key role in helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for seriously ill children and their families. These efforts have not only provided practical support, but have also given our own children a powerful, real-world example of empathy and kindness in action.
Ten years in early childhood education is significant. Not just in time, but in impact.
The children who began in Emily’s care a decade ago are now moving through primary school and beyond. Yet the values, confidence, and sense of belonging fostered during those early years remain.
That’s the often unseen reality of this work. The outcomes don’t always show up immediately, but they last.
It’s difficult to fully capture what Emily has given to our community.
Her care, consistency, and deep commitment to children have shaped the experience of hundreds of families. Her leadership in community initiatives has extended that impact far beyond our centre.
Put simply, her work has helped raise a generation.
From all of us at Everlearn, thank you, Emily, for everything you have contributed over the past 10 years.
