Who can collect your child

Only a parent, guardian or responsible person

A child can only be released into the care of a parent, a guardian, or a responsible person. A responsible person is always someone you have already named to us — never a stranger.

Emergency Contacts

The people you listed as Emergency Contacts when you enrolled your child.

Authorised to Collect

Anyone you nominated as Authorised to Collect on your child's enrolment form.

Nominated for a specific occasion

Someone you have asked, in writing, to collect your child on a particular day or for a set period.

Giving us permission

We need your written permission

Everlearn can only permit a person to collect your child when we have written permission from you. The simplest way to give it is an email from your registered email address.

Email us from your registered address

The first time someone new collects

On their first collection, a new person will be asked to supply photo identification. We make a copy and keep it on file, so future pick-ups are quick and easy.

Please make sure your email includes
The name of the person collectingTheir full name, exactly as it appears on their photo ID.
Their mobile numberSo our educators can reach them if anything changes.
The period of time they may collectA single day, a week, or an ongoing arrangement — just tell us how long.
Our duty of care

Keeping your child safe at the door

Our educators have a duty of care to your child. To honour it, a few things must be true of anyone collecting them.

Over 18 years of age

The person collecting your child must be an adult — 18 years or older.

Proof of identity

They must be able to produce proof of identity when our educators ask.

Clear and capable

We cannot release a child to anyone under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

If we are ever unable to release your child to the person who arrives, we will contact another person on your Authority to Collect list and arrange for them to collect your child instead. Your child is never without someone caring for them.
