We are fortunate enough to have a wonderful community in Clovelly with a village-like atmosphere. We value the importance of our local community and foster the relationships that we continue to build as we evolve at Everlearn.
We enjoy regular excursions within our local area including trips to the bakery, post office and cafes. Burnie park is a particular favourite place to visit and allows the children to explore the endless opportunities that such a beautiful natural environment brings.
We also invite local community members into our preschool to talk to the children and families about their roles and provide an insight into the impact of their work. To date, children have enjoyed visits from Indigenous leaders, local firefighters, police officers, nurses, the SES, vets, farmers, sporting professionals, builders, and photographers. We have also enjoyed talks from parents of multicultural backgrounds to help the children explore their sense of identity and culture.
Over the last few years we have built a strong relationship with Ronald McDonald House in Randwick. This is a fantastic charity that houses and cares for families of seriously ill children whilst they are receiving treatment. We host a fundraiser every year which includes getting the whole community involved, and we also invite parents and staff to cook dinner at the house for different occasions throughout the year.
