Child Care Subsidy is income-tested — up to 90% under $85,279, dropping 1% per $5,000 of income, to 0% above $535,279. From July 2026 it is paid on a capped fee of $151.90/day ($15.19/hr × a 10-hour day), not the full daily fee.

From July 2026, Child Care Subsidy is calculated on a capped fee of $15.19 per hour over a 10-hour day ($151.90/day) — not your full daily fee — so the subsidy is not a flat 90% of what you pay. The percentage shown is the standard rate for one child (or the eldest child under 6); families with more than one child under 6 may receive a higher rate for younger children. Centrelink also withholds 5% of CCS, reconciled at tax time. Start Strong Funding is set by the NSW Government and applied as annual fee relief.
